Shree Galeshwar Secondary School, Myagdi

Galeshwar Secondary School was established with initiatives of local communities in 2009 B.S. as a Primary School. It was first named as Aadarsha Primary Pathshala. Later on the community changed its name to Galeshwar Sanskrit Lower Secondary School in 2031 B.S. Then after the start of secondary level education on 2037 B.S, the school was named as Shree Galeshwar Secondary School. It is situated in Beni Municipality-lO, Toripani Myagdi.

The total number of students before the earthquake was 593. The school record of 2018 A.D. (2075 B.S) shows there are total 406 students studying from grade 1 to grade 12; based on gender female: 218, male: 188 and based on ethnic group, indigenous students: 271, dalit students: l35. The number od students have dropped by 3l% after the earthquake.

With the co-ordination from District Education Office which is under the Ministry of Education, Lions came to know about the condition of the school. Currently, with the help of funding from Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF), Lions have successfully completed fully furnished two storey eight rooms RCC building with toilet for boys, girls and disabled children with white boards and some study materials.
