
The TULBTRC is blood transfusion and research centre Situated in the premises of Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur, Kathmandu is jointly venturing between Tribhuvan University and Lions international, MD325. As a non-profitmaking and sovereign organization center has been actively engaged in the collection, processing and distribution of blood and its components to various healthcare facilities across the valley. However, we recognize the persistent challenge of maintaining an adequate and safe blood supply to meet the ever-increasing demand of blood and its components from the volunteer blood donor. Moving towards as a leading blood transfusion and research center dedicated to the cause of providing safe and sustainable blood supply to patients in need, we believe that blood donation plays a pivotal role in saving human lives.

Lions Clubs International, a global voluntary service organization in over 210 countries, has dedicated a century to the motto “We Serve”. In Nepal, LCI Multiple District-325 has been actively contributing to societal welfare since 1971. MD-325 has collaborated with Tribhuvan University to establish the T.U. Lions Blood Transfusion and Research Center (TULBTRC), marking a historic milestone in Lionism in Nepal. Initially 1200 Lions members came together to contribute 25 thousand rupees per head and built a 2 storied building of 16428 sq. ft at Tribhuvan University premises. With the commitment of around 2600 Lions and non-lion’s members around the globe who contributed NRs. 25,000 each. This institution now serves as a beacon of hope with LCI’s 100 years of worldwide service.
